Airstream's infamous question# 24

Airstream has been politely telling our leadership for years that they're doing a poor job of selling this club.  Sadly that's only half the truth.  The other half is that Airstream has repeatedly told our leadership that Airstream is selling today's trailers to a "different" kind of buyer". For those that need the interpretation that means that today's Airstream buyers aren't interested in the WBCCI.

If that isn't clear enough for you turn to page 126 of "Wanderlust - Airstream at 75" -- it says it all.  It says that as a club we've probably turned off 75% of every new Airstream buyer that has ever happened across that page.  We should make an earnest request that page 126 be torn out of all future re-prints.

The picture just screams what Airstream has been politely trying to tell us for years -- you folks are out of touch with today's Airstream buyers and owners.

So decades of leaders can't figure out why the club keeps shrinking and Airstream has spent most of the last few years selling everything (travel trailers anyway) they could possibly make to the tune of 2,000 units per year. So here we are and now its Airstream's turn to do a survey promoting hidden agendas.  It's clear as day that they want to know if the Airstream masses think it's time for a NEW Airstream based club.

Airstream is conducting a survey. In that survet they are asking some interesting questions.  ...and here's what will become known as Airstream's infamous question# 24:

24.  If you are not a member of the WBCCI, would you be interested in joining another Airstream based club?

Hey -- are there any leaders out there?  Anyone that can TYPE?  Anybody that knows how to REACT when danger looms?  Airstream is wondering if its time for a  brand NEW club.  Do you think its time for our leaders (Dona and Bill excluded) to ENGAGE?  I think the membership does and you can find dozens of posts at http://wbcci.org/forum and you can find ALL of the past posts from that forum right here!

Time to stop lurking -- time to get it in gear or pull off the highway!  The writing is on the wall.
