In just two days we've pretty much figured that our fearless leadership (it's been repeated by Region Presidents) wanted all the negative posts on WBCCI.org/forum to just disappear. Chalk another brilliant move up to the IBT. We're going to have to come up with a new definition for that acronym because they're acting like anything but an International Board of Trustees of an enthusiast's club. If you were to compare this body to the corporate world -- then they're hitting on all 8 cylinders. Blatant dictators fits the bill. But WE all get it by now, right? These folks continually make decisions that suit themselves -- not OUR club.
So what to do? Looks like there's a new automated archive (we hope) or delete routine running that kills inactive posts every ~30 days. Brilliant huh? Simply GENIUS.
It looks like we're going to have to 'BUMP' every message at the forums on a weekly basis to make sure they never disappear -- or at least until somebody from high on up will get off their padded MoHo tushies and explain their newly developed position on the club forums.
Don't want to hear from the membership at all? No problem -- shut down those forums -- we'll advertise these forums to every member in the club. Don't care to read WBCCI REALITY? Just change the channel blue bloods -- just change the channel.
So -- what to bump with?
"BUMP till they get it"
"BUMP -- keep hope alive"
"BUMP -- it's what Wally would do!"
"BUMP -- I have a dream"
Looking for something good -- something catchy -- something that will make the IBT slap themselves on the foreheads just one more time. Show us what you've got -- we're looking for just a couple of good phrases and let's keep peppering that forum with them so that the efforts of regular members like you and me aren't being tossed after 30 days.
When are these BOYZ and GIRLZ gonna get it? When? What does it take?
We've already got word that at least TWO members are quitting over this issue. That's just the ones that have emerged in the last couple of days. It's seems that people are just getting fed up paying these folk's travel expenses when it's All for Them and None for Us! The chasm between leadership and membership continues to expand.
Can you blame these members for quitting? Really? How out of touch can the IBT be? Stay tuned -- there's more to come...
Oh -- I've got a good mind to start buffering those posts and create a brand new sub here. When future posts disappear over there, we'll just post them in their entirety right here at good 'ol SaveWally. That way club members will ALWAYS be able to find past WBCCI issues somewhere. In fact -- consider it a done deal -- there's a brand new sub coming!
