"I heard from a member of GSLU who was refused a vote by e-mail or phone that Greater St Louis voted to let Four Winds in."

It would be nice to get some details here.  Is it unanimous?  Is there a proportional vote to be had?  Was SOB proponent I3VP Elect Norm Beu in attendance?

Although I have quit GSL, the word is that the executive board voted 4-3 to only allow members present at the May rally to vote on this issue and that the vote would be done in a proportional mode.  The fact that they made it unanimous only adds insult to injury.  They have just lost a good younger Trustee over this process and other issues.  Remember that one of the IBT officers belongs to this unit and has a motor home.  This is the same person who spoke out against the allowance of the base camp when the local vote was taken.

This is one unit that I predict will eventually fail unless things change.  Most of the younger members who joined in the past 5 years have quit.

You know Jack -- excellent points!  I didn't even think of tracing back YES or Unanimous YES votes and their IBT connection.  I mean why wouldn't the IRS want the club to go down in flames -- to see thousands of iconic TT owners move on to a brand new club?  It's all about IBT friends and family isn't it?  Ah yes, that does explain the YES vote in GSLU doesn't it?

The blind leading the blind...

Thanks Jack!  You know, there's always WDCU for caring members (and past members) that don't care for the special interest self-serving minority controlling aspects of the club...   ;D

Thanks for the invite.  I'm not sure whether I want to give WBCCI any more of my money.  Even with a good local unit, I don't feel inclined to support the IBT through my membership dollars.  As for now we have the Airforums to attend to with our 5th Annual Airforums Rally up at Moraine View State Park near Bloomington Il.  No dues, no officers, no politics.  Just fun to be out with our friends and fellow Airstream and Airstream wanna be's.  And when it's all said and done it sure makes life a lot simpler.

Even though I'm gone from the WBCCI ranks, I'm all for what you guys are trying to accomplish here.  Maybe with an enlightened leadership someday, I might be back.

Jack
