In the tightest race so far the Auglaize Valley Ohio Unit just barely defeated this motion.  With International Past President SPIES in attendance and only the IBT line being cast amongst the crowd Auglaize still managed to defeat this motion by the slimmest of margins!  We received an extremely detailed report on this.  Be sure you read it all to discover the ways of the dark side -- how the IBT travels on our dime and INTIMIDATES our membership!

"I recently attended a region rally. This issue is being pushed very hard. The President, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vice presidents and several past presidents were present. Their story is that it is the people not the equipment that counts. They want this to be an issue to debate and not a name calling affair."

Debate?  We're far beyond debate!  These feckless leaders have dropped a BOMB on us.  A motion that spells certain DEATH for the WBCCI!  They want to debate something?  That should have happened long before the motor home controlling IBT abused their power and privileges and dropped this motion on us all!  There's NO TIME to debate this -- we have to stop it now and call out our feckless leaders for exactly what they are!  Otherwise compassionate members might be frightened into believing this is the only way to save our club.

The only way to save our club is to send these folks out to pasture - permanently!

"My unit meeting was attended by a past (international) president. All comments made during the meeting were all positive for the motion to accept SOB's. I take this as his being present was a spy and an intimidator.  The vote was 11 for and 6 against. I was really surprised by this vote."

How's that?  Nothing but positive comments to accept the motion but at least those in the know held their ground -- even in the presence of an IPP!

But here's why our IBT has it WRONG.  Their self-preservationist ways WILL destroy this club because not only will more members leave than they'll save - a brand NEW Airstream manufactured products only club will form.  It won't need to pilfer members away from the WBCCI -- they'll come in DROVES!

"I for one, if this motion is passed, I will no longer be a member of WBCCI. I have a feeling that there will be a mass departure from the club. They think that they have lost many members in recent years, this might surprise them."

Don Shafer will go down in history as the IP that destroyed the WBCCI.  A second generation member that simply doesn't get it.  THAT will be his WBCCI legacy!
