In a unanimous vote the Metropolitan New York Unit voted NO to the Four Winds motion.

Issues sited were the lack of research on the IBT's part to survey the current 860 club motorhome members to determine who they are, their needs, and their wishes for consideration by the membership.  To determine the total number of current WBCCI members that would actually request some type of relief.

The inclusion of allowing USED Four Winds Motorhomes into the club for membership (they would be competing with used Airstream motorhomes which doesn't make any sense).

The inclusion of non-Airstream owning members being allowed join the WBCCI for the first time with a Four Winds product.  New members are not desirable coming into an Airstream product only club in an SOB.

The inclusion of Four Winds Motorhomes into the club in a Regular Member status.  Current WBCCI Airstream owners should not be ruled over by members in non-Airstream product.

The Spring Rally Review from the Metro Skyliner is now online at:

www.MetroNY.WBCCI.net

Just look under the 'newsletter' section and click on the photo.

The business meeting was pretty much summed up as follows:

"After considerable and civil discussion the members were firm in keeping Wally Byam Caravan Club “Airstream” to the core…..voting ‘Some Other Brands’ strictly SOL. And after much chafing about an undemocratic single candidate ballot slate, they also voted not to endorse the one and only International pick for 3rd Vice President and instead decided to endorse a different candidate. Thus became the first Airstream “pancake revolt.”"
