"Hello all,
While reviewing the various forums on the motorhome issue in preparation of
my Region 1 Report to the members, I noticed a disturbing fact.
On the WBCCI.ORG, forum, it appears that the Motorhome issue is hidden under
"other" and that the last entry is 15 February 2007. Censorship?
Am I wrong or is there something afoot?
Why is this important issue not front page of the forum so that the members
of the IBT can feel the pulse and opinions of the membership?
Who put a halt to South Carolina Unit's request and why? - If there is no
deliberation allowed, then there is NO opportunity to amend a motion that is
on the floor - Robert's Rules
Why is the April issue of the Blue Beret far from "Fair and Balanced" on the
Motorhome issue?
As a "Red Coat" I am well aware of the "shot heard around the world" I am
well aware of the fact that it is in Region I that two great nations sprung
as a result of that "shot. And I am well aware that the Birthplace of WBCCI
was in Region 1..
The club was in a turmoil before (the details are a matter of history) and as
a result, the Classic Caravan Club (CCC) was chartered and incorporated. It
was formed by Airstream Trailer owners and its membership grew "overnight" in
the thousands, members which WBCCI stood to lose. The CCC leadership proved
that they could operate a viable club with a nation wide membership and
were holding rallies and caravans. Seeing the light, the WBCCI leaders took
action to resolve the "differences" with the CCC and allowed to become an
all Airstream trailer intraclub known today as the Classic Airstream (intra)
Club (CAC). This paved the way for the Vintage airstream Club.
As a charter member of the CCC and CAC, I understand their positions and I
know that the CCC Charter still exists and I know what they can do if so
minded. By the way, has it occurred to anyone that, if the CAC and VAC can
limit their membership to Airstream trailers only, then why not the units? -
they all are organized and operate under the same WBCCI Constitution and
By-Laws!
As Region 1 President, my first duty is to the Region 1 membership and I
want to lead them in the right direction. It is my intent to publish a
Region 1 President's Report and Recommendations to the Region Membership on
1 May and I need the facts; I need opinions from everyone; I want options,
and I want both sides of the issue. Please help me on this issue by giving
me everything you can, but no unnamed sources.
Thank you for your time and considerations in this matter

Region 1 President
