Arizona Unit Leadership Endorses Four Winds
« on: April 16, 2007, 07:52:50 AM »

"Several issues were discussed including the proposed change to the Constitution that would permit Class A Motorhomes manufactured by Four Winds into the Club. Jim Franklin read the proposed constitutional change. Don Mantle cautioned our members to take what is published on the WBCCI Forum with a “Grain of Salt,” so to speak. He stated “that only a few members and some nonmembers seem to control the forum without knowing all the facts on any issue. He also stated that most of these verbose writers have never been involved in the club, except to complain. For the most part they have never held an office, conducted a rally, nor have they been on a Caravan.

It is interesting to note that of the twenty-five Airstreams parked at the rally site seven were motorhomes."

How could you not come to this conclusion?  With at least ONE ex-IBT and ONE current IBT in their unit, plus with the Region President in attendance there are at LEAST THREE IBT motorhomes in attendance.  I wonder who had the other FOUR?  This unit doesn't have a hope in hell of voting this one down, but we're pulling for them just the same!

I am not a member of the Arizona Unit, but I did read this in the June newsletter.

The meeting itself continued with the business of allowing Four Winds motorhomes into the club. This proposal has drawn some very hard lines for and against, and I hope everyone has or will cast their vote on this VERY important issue.

So when you have your Unit President telegraphing the same message in two different newsletters (what happened to May?) what should you expect to come out of that unit?  Especially when IPP Franklin (the 'ol fossil  ;) ) was in attendance installing an officer.  Especially when the message is "the business of allowing Four Winds motorhomes..." instead of "the business of allowing Four Winds motor homes OR NOT..." should have been used instead.

So -- is there a 4CU member that still has ties with the Arizona unit that could collect that IBT SOB vote?
