We had previously reported this unit as a 'NO VOTE' unit as you can see by the comments above. Jack Hampel, Unit President, has decided to take an actual US Mail ballot for this most important issue. For that Jack gets a Thumbs Up!
"As your Club President, I want to know how each one of you feels about letting the Four Winds Motor Home into WBCCI. Are you for this or against this? Be assured that I will represent our Club’s wishes at the International Rally. Instead of casting a voice vote, I have decided to do this vote by a ballot to ensure that all members have an opportunity to voice their opinion. Please take the time and mark the enclosed ballot and return it to me no later than June 1, 2007."
We still wish Jack had pointed his membership to alternate views on the subject. Pointed out to his membership that there are other ways to solve this problem, but in Santa Clara's case at least members will now get an actual vote! We only hope Santa Clara members will be able to get fair and balanced information for themselves as it hasn't been provided in their unit newsletters.
What could be next for Santa Clara, fair and balanced information in spite of the Region 12 President? How about 1M1V?

Jack while we would liked to have seen you do more for your members -- enlighten them on all the possibilities -- we're at least grateful that your members will get an actual ballot to cast! Send 'em here Jack -- we'll enlighten them on what's really at stake with this issue. We'd hate to see you have to explain to your members why their dues are now $150 and there's a competing club WBCCI members are flocking to!
Thanks Jack!
