Just got word that there's a posse mounting...

Bring your kindling, bring your fire logs, TODAY at 1:30pm at the FL State Rally your esteemed International President will address the membership and give a (SAD) State of the WBCCI report.

For the love of Wally somebody please video tape this talk, or at least voice record it!!!  We *PROMISE* to make it available to one and ALL!!!

I had posted this under general conversations, but it probably needs to be here

Reading between the lines the IP made it pretty clear that they want Leo out of there,
Leo was defended by several Metro NY unit members that were very unhappy because their unit had no voice in this.

Frank Carson, rally chairman and former wbcii membership chairman pretty much suggested the club has no idea what terminating Leo will do to membership.
Indications of yet another grievance waiting in the wings if if this one gets killed in appeal.
Hope some one actually recorded this meeting

What meeting is this and why is it not a simulcast?  Please everyone who heard the meeting post all the details you remember.

Please tell me the context and how you discertained that the IBT wanted Leo out.   I tell you what.  I didn't have money to give to the IBT but I have that money and a bit more to mount a defense or complaint on behalf of Leo and we that support him and what he stands for and has tried to do for the club.

This meeting was a "state of the wbcci" presentation at the Florida state rally by Tom Collier.
This covered most of the problems,like costs budget shortfalls etc.  In the Q&A session the grievance against Leo was brought up by several folks from his unit.
The IP said words to the effect that this guy has been a problem for years and it was clear they wanted him out.  It was also said a 4th grievance was under consideration.
Hopefully some one recorded this presentation.  I did not have a recorder or would have done it myself.  They of course , were thin on details claiming confidentiality until the final outcome.

The one subject that was NOT touched on was the WBCCI forum and the censorship.  Unfortunately we used the 2 hours before we could get to that one.

My personal impression, echoed by others is that there is a vendetta here.  I hope if the appeal fails there is some kind of legal recourse.

Until there is a tape of this available keep in mind these are only my impressions

More grievances?  Too bad every member that hears the IBT speak so irresponsibly as to talk against members don't all file their own grievance against the leaders.  That would call attention and keep them busy...I find their proceedings offensive and without merit of factual grounds.

Hmmm, no mention of the "opinion cleansed" members forum.  Just think of what that forum could be if it were not censored and did not restrict who can and cannot post AND if leadership actually responded.  I might even pay double dues to be part of that action.    When will they learn to stop operating like the Gestapo? 

The irony of it all is that if they admitted mistakes and accepted ideas and help from members who want to volunteer and even if they publish controversy and differences of opinion and engage in healthy debate, the club would actually prosper , but instead they try every odd ball failing attempt to increase membership and retension and subvert and obstruct and orchestrate machinations, when the most obvious way to succeed is just to let it be.  Let go our Eggo, or should that be... let go your ego?   They would be amazed at how much the membership can be forgiving and how much they can actually help the WBCCI and the leadership in working together.  What they are devoted to fighting for makes no sense at all.

If you recall, Tim K tried to use their grievance process against them... but they ruled that the smoking gun was insufficient evidence. LOL!

Somebody give me an audio clip of that statement and I will grieve it - even though I was told that if I file one more frivolous grievance i would have action taken against me.... I am tired of the double standards. Give me the audio proof and I will submit it!

The rally ended Sunday,  We stayed over 3 extra nights dry camping and were the last Airstream off the grounds, leaving this morning.

Can anyone give us a good summary of what the address was and the comments that were made in particular about Leo?

Did everyone take a vow of silence?   How difficult is it to outline the talk?  Any one take notes.  I do if I sit through one of those things...
