WBCCI forum moderator insults this forum
« on: November 29, 2009, 06:47:34 AM »

A moderator on WBCCI forums known as Silvertwinkie referred to Save Wally as the National Enquirer of unofficial Airstream/WBCCI Websites..... in a thread on Air Forums.

It's an interesting read how Gibson, you remember him sends his trolls to AF to defend his position at WBCCI. He was banned at AF

According to Twink Gibson walks on water.

One other interesting comment he made is that he being a moderator isn't even a member of WBCCI.

Simon he asked for proof that anyone was blocked on that forum.

Well that would likely be that as a NON-Member, moderating what was supposed to be a MEMBERS forum, this one doesn't have a clue as to what club related facts would be.

The clueless, the ignorant, are continually just too happy with their own situations.

WE provide facts here that even club leadership can't bring themselves to divulge to the membership.  ~$86,000 versus the REAL HARD FACT $125K that leadership declined to reveal to the membership.  Never mind what small insignificant facts a non-member, moderating what was supposed to be a CLUB forum (IT is NOT), might possess...

http://savewally.org/?p=399

I especially liked the quote:

"I am currently not a member, but have been considering it if the changes I see continue."

What kind of conscious disconnect could possibly be taking place here?  You make a conscious decision to go moderate what should be a club forum, but you haven't been convinced to join the club?  HELLO?  HELLO!

"I was reluctant, but figured since they made such a bold step, I would try."

How many days was that forum open before Twink reluctantly became a moderator there?   >(0)  Reluctant my ASS -- you couldn't beat a faster path to that forum and a moderator's position, if he had set the damned thing up himself.

I think lil Twink should take a lesson right out of the Greggy Weggy book of WBCCI Stunts and Tricks.  Lil Twink should sign up today to become a member just so that he can file a grievance against ME tomorrow...  WBCCI leadership has no clue how to deal with non-members filing grievances, come one -- come all.  Hell if you can moderate a joke of a club forum and not be a member, you certainly should have the right to file a grievance as a non-member, shouldn't you?  >:(

Just another side-affect of international leadership not having a CLUE as to what they've implemented there...

I remember, and can pull the quote where the ECC stated that the forum would be moderated by CLUB MEMBERS, yet not much of what the ECC stated when presenting this fiasco to leadership has played out in REALITY...

Oh, and hey TWINK -- some other missing facts in your vernacular -- we don't moderate here -- never have.  We don't employ deliberately deceptive routines to frustrate those that would like to view what goes on here, to participate here.  We don't SNOOP into members private messages here, and we're not trying to leverage anything for our "personal gain" here.

WE are watching a 55 year old historic club DIE because the methods and procedures employed by OUR club maintain a comfy travel style for those that purport to be leading this club.  I guess this was done as these 'leaders' were to tend to the business of consistent growth and profitability.  Problem is that decades of OUR leadership have produced a near 30 year continual streak of lower annual membership numbers, and now, operating in the red in ever increasing numbers, approaching (if not exceeding [Jan Mid-Winter tally]) $100,000.00 a year.

There's no defending that FAILURE, and there's no defending the FAILURE that those new V-A forums (pretending to be a club forum) ARE.  They're not in the best interests of the club, its membership, and it is HIGHLY INSULTING that they would put a non-member (YOU) in a position of authority there.

Somebody needs to wake up at the top levels of the club.  Rip Van Winkle didn't suck up $125,000.00 a year while he was sleeping -- how come we got suckered?

The WBCCI forum has given me a Thanksgiving present... the card on the outside said "Welcome to the WBCCI Forum" but when I opened the box it said miserable user hack.

Thank You, Cortez

Steve,

You are being blocked as well?!?

If so - and as I expected, the EGCs decision to not find Gibson guilty in both grievances has only emboldened him to doing it more and more.

About The Twink - I suspect he has about as much internet sense as the EGC has - none. I'll tell you what Twink - Don't have the Huevos to post statements like that here on SaveWally? Why?
Post here like a man - face up to your statements right here with the people making them. Don't hide behind a forums that some of us can't even access and participate in.
Want proof - ask for it like a man - right here!

It looks like its getting nasty, my opinion is Save Walley will gain more wbcci members, on this side of the fence as time goes by,I do not know why so many wbcci clubs are setting up and making home at airforums. Its a private forum and censored as told to me by moderators  ::)chuck and janet, by law rules are made to censor members just like the wbcci forum.

AirForums is private. Janet is a WBCCI Member but I am not sure if Chuck is.
You know - considering all that goes on at Air - they are about the best that WBCCI members actually have for talking about WBCCI issues. Cause anything bad said over at WBCCI forums gets heavily censored.
I don't think that AirForums censor WBCCI member or topics - but I do know that they are dealing with the fact that WBCCI is getting bad enough that they need to isolate out the topics because it is bringing down not only WBCCI but AirForums as well. AirForums doesn't want to end discussions about WBCCI - it is part of the Airstreaming community.

...and that would say what about gibson's forums and redefining the way forums are run there today (heavily sensored, posts moved, members warned)?

Why does that sound so much like toddler's in a sand box?

I don't log in there much, and I certainly don't participate, but it is interesting to read other users getting frustrated with Pleasantville Central.  Better them than me...  8)
