Mud Dog is completely correct in this. I know - when I was trying to demo a completely free forums to WBCCI - I was sent a Cease & Desist letter from WBCCI, not Airstream. Airstream is really out of the picture when it comes to the club.

With all the bad press, hard feelings, possible corruption, yada, yada , yada with the WBCCI forums, there’s only one thing to say:

The WBCCI Forums horse is DEAD, it’s time to DISMOUNT!!!

It’s tainted goods at this point, no matter what he/they try to do to save it, it will not help. Put the whole thing to bed and start over!

And to think people pay good money to go to the movies when they can get entertainment like this free.

Thanks for the correction on the name issues., but does that not put the Airforums in danger if yhe grossly wrong decision is made at Airstream to end this debate by no longer allowing the Airforums to use the Aistream name?  I am sure save wally would continue but airforums would have to change names.  This would be a victory of sorts for the club forum.  Airforums have already muzzled and you admit that save wally is under attack.  zz

SaveWally was under attack but I just don't think AirForums is in any danger - why would they be? This was just one individual, acting alone and without authorization from WBCCI to try to enforce copyright laws that he can not possibly enforce.
Yes, Gibson has threatened me with all sorts of legal actions but really, I just don't think he will be successful. I do believe his lawyers are laughing all the way to the bank with every contact he has with me.

Air Forums has already changed its name from Airstream Forums.  Andy has said in the past that whatever name the forums takes it will still be the community of Airstream enthusiasts and other interested parties.

I guess I'm just more amazed that THAT forum is still up and running, with members being intentionally and deliberately blocked from access, to members being played with via the Miserable Users Hack, and then the revelation that members PRIVATE MESSAGES are being snooped on.

Yet another CARING member puts up a full fledged FREE forum demo, a DEMO, showing the WBCCI what could have been, run FREE by the IBT themselves if they cared to, and in that case there's an emergency meeting and a CEASE and DESIST order issued.

No harm, no foul there, right BOYZ?

Yet back at the official club forums, someone deliberately and intentionally causes DIRECT HARM to members, in a pre-meditated, subversive manner, all the while staging for 'plausible deniability' and yet that situation still exists without the required and necessary change................ . . . . . . . . . . .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .    .    .    .    .    .    .    .      .      .      .      .      .      .

The clock is ticking -- is anyone watching?  Does anyone even care?  It would appear that they DO NOT, or they would have put the same 48 hours notice on this situation, and it would be resolved by now...

Check your WBCCI forum access.  I can get through directly to the site as of this evening.  The miserable users hack must have been disabled.

Maybe for you, Carol. But not for me. I still get very long delays and blank pages. Maybe Gibson finally removed you from the list of IP addresses that are blocked. But I am still on it - for "plausible deniability" of course. But you know - this information is a verification that the hack is installed. If you are having no problems, neither should I
And I just checked, side by side, browsing to blog.vintage-airstream.com (on the same IP address and therefore the same server) yields no delays at all. But the forums... no workie.

The banner ads - but only if you actually click them I think is what he actually gets. that plus the trailer sales ads and such.

Greg Gibson is capitalizing on the Airstreams trademark.

This crook is advertising his used airstreams lending creditability to his unethical business practices.

Those ads are lining his pockets not the clubs.

Also note in the upper right hand corner "sponsored by....."

Actually, he is riding on the WBCCI coat tails not Airstream. He is selling and brokering Airstreams, which is anyone's prerogative.  To most casual lookers at his forum site, they would likely think that it was a WBCCI owned site and the ads on there were sold by WBCCI.  I think it a shame. Only the IBT or the president can correct this problem.
