I can see my installation rally panoramic photo is being completely dissed. Not enough views!

If you'll care to have a look, you'll see our catered Texas BBQ dinner being served under the tent on the left. Even the picnic tables were set-up wagon wheel style around our central campfire, BUT it appears that the low setting sun caused some to rotate the tables a bit.
Center left, straight back is the vineyard's main store and wine tasting area. There were (and always are) live cooking demonstrations going on inside, a blues band played I think Saturday afternoon. Off to right center you'll see a two story building. We had our private Martha Clara hosted Wine tasting up there on that second floor with the balcony, and Phil Pons installed the '08/'09 MetroNY officers, completely casual and a lot of fun. We also had a Chinese Auction up there for a whole bunch of goodies that raised $400 for our Unit. It's amazing how many tickets people will buy when mixed with wine!

There's nothing like wagon wheel parking because YOU have the best seat in the house. Everything is right outside your front window. You know who is out there and what is going on. Very intimate and a whole lot of fun. We also had wrist bands that gave us unlimited horse drawn carriage tours, and free wine tasting (in addition to the Friday night tasting).
If you've never been to a vineyard rally -- here's your personal invitation, right here. While there will likely only be room for 20-25 rigs in the inner circle, we figure we can handle 40-50 rigs, no problem. It will once again be our installation rally (they'll be kicking me out right about then). Some members will be offering courtesy parking prior, or after the four day rally. If you've never had the opportunity to explore Long Island, or even New York City, this will be a great rally to do it from.
The dates are Sep 24-27th. It doesn't matter if you've got a red, blue, green, yellow, or plaid jacket. As long as you leave IT in your rig or at home, you're more than welcome. We focus on FUN at MetroNY, and this past year we had a blast! Oh, and we're told that we'll have some discount ferry rates if you're coming over from New England.
I'll have the review of the entire event up at MetroNY.WBCCI.net shortly. It will be a multi-page pdf.
I don't know what goes on at a National or a Special Event rally, but I'll bet this 4-day rally can go toe-to-toe with one!
