Where is everybody?
« on: August 30, 2008, 10:40:02 AM »

Well, that may be the question you'll be asking yourself this weekend.

Everybody here, as of today, is off on vacation.  In fact, I'm the last one out by more than a week.  If it's too quiet for you, well post something!!

I don't know if I'll have Internet access for days or longer.  Ireland is awfully wet (and green) right about now.  When it rains here, my DSL acts up -- 50+ year old lines out on the street...  I may actually find myself farther back in time, than the time capsuled  face of our club!  Wow, slipping out of the 60's and the 70's, all the way back to who knows where.  Maybe the early 18th century?  I wonder if there were any primary colored sport coats or two piece topped berets back then?  Hey, maybe those primaries truly do represent modernization, from the stone age!!  Yeah, and since when did a beret become a two piece topped garment.  Aren't REAL berets but a single pieced top?  ;)

You keep on hammering away!  If you don't, they'll yank this club's real identity and purpose right out from under you.  Don't let them get away with it -- THEY'RE not worth it.  I'm taking a break.  I've got a very important appointment, just as soon as I get back...  ;)  Stay tuned Trailerites (and Motorhomers)!!

Oh, you should see some signs of internal life about Tue or Wed I think.  Happy Trails!!

Actually "quiet here" is a good thing--let everybody take a little rest, soak up some rays, reflect on the relative insignificance of this whole brouhaha in the grand scheme of things.

And of course the other thing is, it's hard to follow because the firefight keeps jumping from one dagnabbed forum to another!  SaveWally had it a week before Airforums, then Airforums went hot and heavy for a week, and in the last couple of days fighting has become general in the belly of the Death Star itself!  (But I don't think Darth Vader participates in those forums, either. . . )

Happy Labor Day weekend everybody!  Have a cold one or two and relax! :)

We tend to be the watchdogs here, and the majority of Airforums folks aren't paying that close attention to current leadership events.  They seem to get engaged in the higher Richter Scale events.  No problems -- everyone doesn't need to follow this stuff weekly...

Having too much fun this week -- have to GO!!

Everybody is having fun, well that is well deserved.  Muddog your post is so funny--the belly of the Death Star itself.  ;D  But didn't Darth show up? ;)

I see Tim has at least checked in, not sure if he's back yet or not.  We spent two days in Dublin without Internet access, and when we got home last night our DSL wasn't working.  I just fixed it this morning.  Seems that somehow the router dropped the PPoE password?  Strange, but back to normal...

Sorry -- completely swamped.  I was in NJ yesterday, trying to play catch-up in the office today.  Have a 10am in Ithaca NY (5.5 hour drive) tomorrow morning.  Rally was FANTASTIC. Smiles all around -- little kids that didn't want to go home (ever!).  The best news -- Martha Clara wants us BACK, AND they even offered for us to have our 2010 Region Rally there, if Phil Pons wants it there.  Ball is in his court...

Here's the teaser -- gotta go!!!

There's plenty more where that came from -- just as soon as I can get them off my camera!!

Fantastic panoramic Leo!  The resolution is so high, I almost got in line for food myself.  ;)  Love the Wagon Wheel formation.  We''ll be waiting when you have more time to post more.

Yes, Photoshop, completely manual merge.  22 photos total, 6 obvious merge lines, but when your that close to some objects, it's difficult to get it in perspective.  I've got more coming, but I've got another day on the road tomorrow... :(

I've got more coming later -- we're severely delinquent on current events -- let me see what I can do about that later tonight...  ;D

Hope everybody is ready because we are leaving on a trip and I bet you a dollar to a doughnut everything will happen when I am gone!  :(  So take care stay strong and see you when we get back from our Northern Lakes tour.  We have a rally at Mackinaw this weekend and leaving in the morning.  Then onto Taquamenon Falls and the Porkies from there, perhaps a few other places like Traverse City, Copper falls, Pictured Rocks, we'll see.  The colors are peak and we are psyched!

I told you somethin' would happ'n!   :D  So relieved that Bob and the Mrs. were exonerated and hope to see that apology recommended actually materialize online and in the Blue Beret.  Still as far as WBCCI.org goes, silence from above.  Speaking of which, even God spoke from the mountain... :-\  Of course he likes mankind a lot better than it appears the IBT likes the membership. Perhaps because we were created in His image and the IBT less, because we were not created in theirs.  ::)

Hoping you have an equally positive turnout Leo..though nothing will make up for the stresses and hardships caused so frivalously by the frivo-louses.
